Aiming to set up a protest camp similar to the Occupy encampment outside St Paul's in London, up to 50 protesters arrived in the colonnaded piazza in front of St Peter's basilica carrying placards calling on the Catholic church to PAY MORE TAXES, a reference to tax breaks handed to the Vatican by the Italian government.
You would be astonished to learn that the Italian Government gives the Vatican more than 6 billion euros per year (equivalent to approx 7.4 billion USD).
