Unemployment for Young Vets: 30%, and Rising

On Veterans Day in America, it’s sobering to realize just how badly the job market has turned against the men and women who fought in Iraq and Afghanistan. Their rate of unemployment was 12.1 percent in October, vs. 9 percent for the U.S. overall.

But that only scratches the surface of the employment picture for vets.
