Governor Ralph Northam retained his position after photos surfaced from an old medical school yearbook where he was dressed either in blackface or a KKK hood.
Lieutenant Governor Justin Fairfax was credibly accused of sexual assault, but he stayed in office.
And Attorney General Mark Herring, third in the state line of succession, also admitted to wearing blackface in the past.
The Democrats in the state have been emboldened, and their first move is against gun rights.
Northam and other state Democrats are pushing for gun control laws that could ignite a civil conflict.
Northam wants bans on “assault” weapons, increased age for purchases, “red flag” seizure laws, and limits on ammunition among other measures.
However, the majority of the people aren’t having it.
Of all the counties in the state of Virginia, 91% declared themselves gun sanctuary counties.
This means local law enforcement might not comply with unconstitutional infringements on Second Amendment rights.
But the gun grabbers in the state could actually use the National Guard to carry out their authoritarian tactics.
Democratic Representative Donald McEachin said, “I’m not the governor, but the governor may have to nationalize the National Guard to enforce the law. That’s his call, because I don’t know how serious these counties are and how severe the violations of law will be. But that’s obviously an option he has.”
So the Democrats are already threatening to use the National Guard to seize guns from law-abiding citizens.
This would lead to devastating consequences.
Such an extreme act threatens to shred the values and traditions that America was founded on.
Despite 91% of the counties in the state opposing the gun control measures, the Democrats might still try to cram them through.
