Seven years ago the Duke of York’s working life became increasingly hamstrung when his reputation was tarnished by his friendship with Jeffrey Epstein.

Despite the duke’s attempts to ride out the storm, his decision to remain friends with Epstein, after the disgraced financier’s imprisonment, meant that Prince Andrew found it increasingly hard to stay in his position as a UK trade envoy. Four months later he stepped down.

Now history may be repeating itself. In recent months further damage to the duke’s reputation over his links to Epstein have meant that serious questions are being asked about his ability to work effectively as a member of the Royal Family.
