Former Alaska governor Sarah Palin's husband of 31 years is seeking a divorce, citing "incompatibility of temperament".
Documents believed to be filed by Todd Palin, but which only identify the couple by the initials TMP and SLP, suggest he is trying to end his marriage to the 2008 Republican vice presidential nominee.
Sarah and Todd Palin met at high school and married in 1988, nearly two decades before Ms Palin became governor of Alaska.
Todd Palin, 54, was a commercial fisherman and also worked an oil field job.
In a surprise move, Ms Palin was picked as John McCain's running mate in the 2008 presidential election - which they lost to Barack Obama and Joe Biden.
