Jon Stewart Shocks The World By Giving Trump Some MAJOR Kudos; “Doing An Excellent Job…”

Jon Stewart, a long time comedian and reliable harsh critic of President Donald Trump, stunned the world this week by giving the president some major kudos for how he has handled one particular issue.

During an interview Sunday with The New York Daily News, Stewart praised the Trump administration’s handling of a program that provides funds to ailing and injured responders and families during the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks.

"The Trump Justice Department is doing a good job running the Sept. 11 Victim Compensation Fund," Stewart said.

This is the second time this month that Stewart has praised the Trump administration’s handling of the 9/11 program.

While speaking before Congress last Monday, Stewart said the claims filed by 9/11 responders and their families has been "moving through faster, and the awards are coming through" since Trump took office.

Stewart also slammed the media for not covering the 9/11 program and urged Congress to make the Victim Compensation Fund permanent.

Speaking directly to reporters Stewart predicted that "tomorrow the 24-hour cycle will move on and you’ll be discussing the body language of Kim Jong Un."

"I want to beg you, when we’re done here, anybody who is with a media outlet, anyone here who is a writer or has a platform—don’t talk to us, talk to the men and women who are sick and suffering right now," he said, again lashing out at the media.

"You can amplify their stories," he implored the media. "You can get their stories out to the American people, because trust me, if the American people in their busy lives had any sense that these shenanigans were going on, they would be outraged."

Stewart went on to say that "we can cut through the nonsense," adding that the bill would pass if just "12 Republicans on the Senate side, that’s all this is. You get 12 Republicans on the Senate side and this bill goes through."

"This is nonsense," he added. "You guys know it, I know it. This is theater. We’re all down here today. There’s no reason to have dragged these people down here. There’s no reason to have to have these conversations. This is bullsh*t."

At the end of his press conference, Stewart made sure the cameras were on him before he said, "The Trump Justice Department is doing an excellent job administering this program."

"I don’t know about anything else, I’m not going to comment on anything else," he said.

Stewart continued, "But that’s why we’re in problem we’re in is the program works exactly like it’s supposed to. Now it’s Congress’ job to fund it properly and let these people live in peace."

Wow, that’s a powerful endorsement of Trump’s efforts.

While many don’t agree with Stewart constantly bashing the president, he certainly showered the Trump administration with praise for prioritizing the 9/11 responders and their families.
