The Supreme Court Says It's OK To Record Cops

The U.S. Supreme Court issued an order Monday that essentially allows people in Illinois to record police officers, the Chicago Tribune reports.

The judges agreed with a lower court ruling that found the state's “anti-eavesdropping law” to be in violation of a person’s free speech rights when used against anyone who records police officers.

The law set out a maximum prison term of 15 years.
