Is that a BP Oil tarball in your pocket or are you just happy to see me?
Hurricane season kicks off June 1 from the Magic City of Miami to the bayous and wetlands of Louisiana. In a normal season, it’s a butt-tightening time of year as politicians and city planners begin to prepare for the worst and hope for the least. Indeed, it won’t be long before television’s talking heads will be breathlessly pointing to three-dimensional landfall maps while those in the ‘Cone’ of impact chew their nails down to the elbows while they reach for a mild sedative.
Unfortunately, a little problem known as the British Petroleum Oil Spill heightens the Potential Devastation Factor due to any storm activity in the Gulf of Mexico this year.
