A hotline set up by the German Catholic Church for victims of abuse received more than 13,000 calls during the three days it was in operation last week, a spokesman said on Tuesday.
The free hotline is available from Tuesday to Thursday from 1pm to 8.30pm and 13,293 calls were registered from 2670 different phone lines, said the spokesman from the diocese in Trier that is responsible for the line.
