Only Republicans Speak With God: “Obama is God’s punishment on us”

Texas governor 'proud' to be in Glenn Beck's 'army'

It seems conservative Republicans firebrands are seeing God's punishment everywhere these days.

First there was televangelist Pat Robertson who in January told his audience that the Haitian earthquake was punishment for Haiti's founders having signed a "pact with the devil."

Then came radio host Rush Limbaugh, who last week suggested that the Iceland volcano was "God's punishment" for the US passing health care reform.

Now a Texas state representative has taken the notion a step further, declaring that an elected official -- rather than a natural disaster -- is a sign of God's displeasure.

Why is it that the God who gave us the “turn-the-other-cheek son” only speaks to Republicans who start wars and kill innocent Muslims and conservatives who take away social services from poor and middle class Americans?

Why is it that He speaks to George Bush, Sarah Palin, Pat Robertson and Rush Limbaugh???

Let’s see. At the time, George Bush was drunk and on coke. Rush Limbaugh was on his pain pills and Viagra. Pat Robertson had Alzheimer’s and Dementia, and Sarah Palin’s retard pills were defective. - Chimp
