Big Tech now maliciously censoring doctors who express politically incorrect viewpoints about coronavirus treatments

(Natural News) The most popular viewed video on Facebook as of Monday has officially been removed by the social media giant for supposedly containing “false information” about the Wuhan coronavirus (COVID-19).

According to Facebook spokesman Andy Stone, the America’s Frontline Doctors viral video, sponsored by the Tea Party Patriots, can no longer be shared or viewed on the platform for the simple fact that Facebook does not agree with its overall message.

“Yes, we removed it for sharing false information about cures and treatments for COVID-19,” tweeted Stone in response to another tweet by The New York Times tech columnist Kevin Roose who wrote, “The video appears to have been taken down from Facebook.”

The video in question, which you may have seen by now, features a press conference with Rep. Ralph Norman (R-SC) and a group of frontline doctors who say that the plandemic, including the government’s response to it, represents little more than a “massive disinformation campaign.”

Founded by Dr. Simone Gold, America’s Frontline Doctors is comprised of board-certified medical doctors who are rightfully skeptical of the plandemic, and who disagree with the lockdowns, social distancing, and other draconian measures that were implemented in response to it – and this is why Facebook disapproves of the group’s message.

Not only did Facebook pull the video livestream after it had already received well over 17 million views, but it also posted a follow-up disclaimer for those who had already watched it directing them to official Wuhan coronavirus (COVID-19) propaganda from the World Health Organization (WHO).
“We’re showing messages in News Feed to people who have reacted to, commented on or shared harmful COVID-19-related misinformation that we have removed, connecting them to myths debunked by the WHO,” Stone added in a separate tweet, also quoting Mark Zuckerberg who recently stated:

“A handful of times a year, we leave up content that would otherwise violate our policies if the public interest value outweighs the risk of harm. It being from a publisher has zero to do with it.”

YouTube, Twitter also pull America’s Frontline Doctors video


Almost immediately after Facebook pulled the America’s Frontline Doctors video, YouTube, which is owned by Google, did the exact same thing. The video had more than 80,000 views at the time when it was removed from the channel where it was originally streamed.

Not to be left out, Jack Dorsey quickly followed suit as well, removing the Breitbart News livestream of the event from Periscope. Dorsey also went a step further by limiting the Breitbart News official account, which had tweeted multiple links to stories about the press conference.

“We understand that during times of crisis and instability, it is difficult to know what to do to keep yourself and your loved one safe,” reads the violation issued to Breitbart News by Twitter.
“Under this policy, we require the removal of content that may pose a risk to people’s health, including content that goes directly against guidance from authoritative sources of global and local public health information.”

As you will notice, Twitter specifically used the phrase may pose a risk in its removal criteria, which is highly subjective and arbitrary. This all-encompassing verbiage suggests that Twitter plans to continue selectively censoring content that “may” result in this or that, but that also may not.

Regardless, if Twitter deems information to be questionable or possibly “unsafe” for public consumption, then the company will apparently remove it without a second thought based on Twitter’s ever-expanding criteria for “misinformation” and “inappropriate” content.

“The censorship proves we have an information cartel in this country which is no different than state-supported media in communist countries,” wrote one Breitbart News commenter.

Judicial Watch Response to Court Ruling In Favor of “Absolute” Secrecy for Rep. Schiff’s Phone Subpoenas Targeting President Trump





 
 
(Washington, DC) – Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton reacted today to a federal court decision, which Judicial Watch may appeal, upholding the secrecy of  controversial subpoenas for phone records issued by Adam Schiff, Chairman of the U.S. House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence relating to the impeachment of President Trump.
 
“Adam Schiff secretly subpoenaed, without court authorization, the phone records of Rudy Giuliani and then published the phone records of innocent Americans, including President Trump’s lawyers, a member of Congress, and a journalist. And now a federal court ruled today that Schiff, or any member of Congress can’t be held accountable for this unprecedented and potentially criminal abuse of power. Every American should be concerned about a ruling that suggests Congress has unlimited power to take and publish their private phone records!”
 
The Judicial Watch lawsuit sought the controversial impeachment-related subpoenas for phone records, including those of Rudy Giuliani, President Trump’s lawyer. Schiff and the Committee are being represented by the Office of General Counsel for the House of Representatives.
 
The phone records led to the publication of the private phone records of Giuliani, Congressman Devin Nunes, journalist John Solomon, Trump attorney Jay Sekulow, attorney Victoria Toensing, and other American citizens.
 
In their 14-page motion Schiff and the Committee claim “sovereign immunity;” “Speech or Debate Clause” privilege; immunity from FOIA and transparency law; that the records are secret; and that Judicial Watch and public do not need to see them. Today’s court decision suggested that Schiff and the House have “absolute” immunity from inquiries about the subpoenas.
 
Judicial Watch filed its lawsuit under the public’s common-law right of public access to examine government records after it received no response to a December 6, 2019, records request (Judicial Watch v. v Adam Schiff and U.S. House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence (No. 1:19-03790)):
 
    • All subpoenas issued by the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence on or about September 30, 2019 to any telecommunications provider including, but not limited to AT&T, Inc., for all records of telephone calls of any individuals
    • All responses received to the above subpoenas.
 
The lawsuit argued, “The records are of critical public importance as the subpoenas were issued without any lawful basis and violated the rights of numerous private citizens.”

REPOST: New GMO vaccines alter human DNA to produce artificial immunity







NaturalNews) Recently, scientists took a huge leap forward in developing a radically new form of immunization. Researchers from the Scripps Research Institute reported in February that they had successfully used a new form of gene therapy to induce monkeys to produce an antibody that deactivates HIV.

This new therapy is fundamentally different from vaccination, which consists of introducing small amounts of infectious material into the body to induce it to produce its own antibodies. In immunoprophylaxis by gene transfer (IGT), scientists instead hope to modify the DNA of patients to enable them to produce entirely new antibodies.


"The reality is we are touching third rails, and so it's going to take some explanation," said David Baltimore of the California Institute of Technology, a Nobel Prize recipient, virologist and IGT researcher.

Bypassing the immune system

In IGT, scientists first identify the genes (in humans or other animals) that produce powerful antibodies against hard-to-treat diseases. They then create artificial versions of these genes and insert them into viruses. These viruses are then injected into patient (usually into muscle tissue), where they transfer the genetically engineered DNA to the muscle cells. Although muscle cells normally do not produce antibodies, the viral DNA changes their genetic programming, and the muscles start producing the antibodies.

The first major breakthrough in IGT came in 2009, when Philip R. Johnson of the University of Pennsylvania and colleagues announced that they had successfully used the technique to cause monkeys' muscles to produce antibodies that protected the animals from SIV, a version of HIV that affects nonhuman primates. In 2011, Baltimore and colleagues successfully used IGT to protect mice against injected HIV. In 2014, they were able to use the technique to protect female mice against HIV introduced vaginally.

"We're going around the immune system, rather than trying to stimulate the immune system," Baltimore said. "So what we're doing is pretty fundamentally different from vaccination, although the end result is pretty similar."

Scientists are also researching the possibility of using IGT to confer resistance to many other diseases that have resisted vaccination, including malaria, respiratory diseases (such as cystic fibrosis, influenza or SARS) and even Ebola.

Many technical hurdles remain before IGT therapies could be widely adopted, however. Michael Farzan, lead author of the recent Scripps study, notes that scientists still need to figure out how to regulate the body's production of the new antibodies, or shut it off.

"If we really want to see this blossom, we need regulatory 'off' switches," he said.

Designer immune systems on the horizon?

Although scientists and bioethicists claim that IGT is no different than existing gene therapies and is therefore not ethically problematic, they admit that the public may see things differently. The prospect of having one's DNA modified to fight a disease may not be easily accepted.

As with all gene therapies, IGT also raises concerns about the ethical implications of gene therapies designed to "improve" or "enhance" human beings rather than simply treat medical conditions. Conferring disease immunity arguably straddles the line between these approaches. Injecting viruses that are designed to modify the human genome also carries the risk of potentially severe side effects.

Thus far, gene therapy researchers have mostly limited themselves to what is known as somatic gene therapy, rather than germ line gene therapy. In the former, only non-reproductive DNA is modified, meaning that the modified traits cannot be passed on to future generations. It is widely accepted that germ line gene therapy poses an even more perilous ethical landscape than the gene therapies already under development.

Finally, the prospect of modifying the human genome raises the question, as always, of who would control such technology, and who would get to decide when it would be used.

Congressman Jerry Nadler has been raked across the coals by social media after insisting that there is no protester-instigated violence in Portland. The lawmaker has spearheaded efforts to discredit federal police in the city.
   
The New York Democrat was approached by pundit and internet personality Austen Fletcher, who asked the House member if he “disavows the violence from Antifa happening in Portland right now.”
“That’s a myth that’s being spread only in Washington, DC,” Nadler responded.

Clearly amused by the lawmaker’s answer, Fletched clarified: “About Antifa in Portland?”
“Yes,” the NY representative shot back as he walked away.

 
The popular political commenter then urged Nadler to “look online” and watch videos about what’s been happening in the Oregon city. “There’s fires and riots. They’re throwing fireworks at federal officers,” he said. The congressman hurried into a waiting vehicle without responding.

For those who have been watching the nightly clashes in Portland, Nadler’s denial seemed incomprehensible. Prominent podcast host and mathematician Eric Weinstein expressed exasperation over the lawmaker’s comments.

“We are willing to spend all credibility to defend what can be INSTANTLY invalidated. Who came up with this policy, why does it exist, and how is anyone able to maintain it without deviating from the script?” he wrote, including a split-screen video showing Nadler’s denial alongside the chaos unfolding in Portland.

 
Others called on CNN and other mainstream outlets usually eager to jump on any remotely misleading statements made by Donald Trump, to fact-check Nadler’s provocative assertion.

 
Countless Twitter users responded to the video by sharing footage showing demonstrators hurling projectiles, setting fires, and participating in other activities that would normally be classified as violent.

However, some claimed that Nadler was technically correct, because many of the demonstrators were not directly affiliated with Antifa.

 
Although the New York lawmaker seems unconcerned by the protesters’ behavior, he has been a vocal critic of federal agents sent to help restore order in Portland. Earlier this month, Nadler and two Democratic colleagues wrote a letter to the inspectors general for the Justice and Homeland Security departments, in which they called for an investigation into Trump’s use of a “secret police force” to “suppress First Amendment protected activities” in the city.

There has been a noticeable uptick in hostilities between protesters and officers charged with protecting Portland’s federal courthouse. On Sunday, the Portland Police had discovered a bag containing Molotov cocktails and loaded rifle magazines. The demonstrations, which began two months ago, have led to nightly skirmishes between law enforcement personnel and activists.

Bill Gates has warned that multiple doses of any coronavirus vaccine could be necessary as he slammed Donald Trump’s handling of the pandemic.

Microsoft billionaire Gates said “serious mistakes” have been made by the White House as he predicted schools could be closed until fall 2021.

Speaking during an interview with Norah O’Donnell on CBS News, Gates said he had faith in the development of a coronavirus vaccine.

However, he warned it could take an “unbelievably big number” of doses to beat the virus.
He said: “None of the vaccines at this point appear like they’ll work with a single dose.
“That was the hope at the very beginning.”

However, he said the solution will “improve over time” even though there will be “a lot of uncertainty” about the vaccine.

The philanthropist – who is worth $98billion, the second-richest man in the world – has offered £300million to help fund research into the vaccine.

Gates also described the closures of schools as the “biggest cost” of the pandemic after deaths as he said classes likely won’t be all back until fall 2021.

He said: “This next academic year does hang in the balance. It is extremely important.”

More should be done to help schools take learning online to ensure kids get their educations, he said.
The 64-year-old tech boss now spends most of his times working with the Global Health division of the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation.

He had been warning of the threat posed to humanity by pandemics since 2015 before the coronavirus outbreak.

During the interview, Gates was also heavily critical of the Trump administration – with the US having the highest death and case count in the world with 146,192 and 4.1million.

Gates said: “Some of the policies were a mistake. Opening up bars – the economic benefit versus the infection risk – a lot of policies like that made it a mistake.”

The Microsoft mogul emphasized that social distancing, wearing masks and developing a vaccine are now key in beating Covid-19.

He conceded however some of the “serious mistakes” were made because of a lacking of understanding of the virus.

The covert operation called COVID, which has been planned for years, is all about trauma-based mind control.

The trauma combines fear of a germ with the sudden psychic shock of the lockdowns, the masks, the social distancing, the economic destruction.

For many people, this trauma is paralyzing on a subconscious level.

As in: HOW CAN THIS BE?  AM I LIVING IN A DREAM?

The government and media messaging about the “pandemic” was immediate, and it was launched as a wall-to-wall campaign.  News reports, ads, public service announcements, talk shows, newspaper articles, press conferences, etc.  No room was permitted for counter-opinion and evidence or intelligent discussion and debate.  The messaging flood plays a major role in the trauma effect.


In a state of subconscious paralysis, people obey.  They follow orders.  They sleep-walk.  They even, on top of the layer of paralysis, actively defend the powers-that-be.

A nation asleep.  A world asleep.

—This would be the time for a political leader to step forward and address the people, in order to wake them up—first, by directing them to look around and see the unconscionable economic and, therefore, human wreckage.

This leader, this president, would describe in sufficient detail the horrendous situation: job loss, business closures, bankruptcies, suicides, murders, broken families.  The national engine of production, shut down.  The “cure worse than the disease.”  Far worse.

Then the leader would rally the nation with a plan for recovery.  This would be a further wake-up call.  For example, for a start, the creation of a million jobs, to repair the crumbling national infrastructure.  Roads, highways, bridges, canals.

Trauma and paralysis need “a reverse vector.”  Supplied with great energy and conviction.

We see none of that.  Political leaders are mainly timid and brainless—when they aren’t forcing more restrictive measures on the people.

Perhaps the political leader with the most swagger and counter-consensus attitude—in the still most powerful nation in the world—is Donald Trump.  Is he waking up the country?  Is he stepping to the podium and laying bare the economic devastation that has been leveled at the people?  Is he voicing a plan for recovery?

No.


WHAT IS WRONG WITH THAT PICTURE?
 

Most people see, in his maddening and conspicuous lack of real leadership, nothing unusual, because they are still in the middle of the trauma and the shock.

But there is “plenty of unusual.”  A leader who doesn’t lead.  A leader who, in a time of crisis, when leadership means so much, doesn’t step up.

THAT is unusual.  That is madness.

Now, add this: the Stockholm Syndrome.  People under rule by edict and force will often develop an attachment to their oppressors.  Loyalty.  Even a perverse love.


Why?  Because they see no other option.


And because, on a subconscious level, the whole surreal world they are now living in makes no sense at all unless their rulers are doing the right thing.

Therefore, their leaders must be right.  They have to be right.

The governors and mayors have to be right.  Even the president, in doing nothing substantial, is right.
Of course, the loss of job and business and money is also paralyzing in the extreme.  The government prescription seems to be: WAIT.  Keep living on Welfare and bailout until the money runs out or until the crisis is declared over.

All in all, many people are subconsciously asking this question: would I rather wake up and therefore see the mass insanity all around me, or would I prefer to stay asleep and follow orders and pretend that is the best course of action?  They choose the second option.

Waking up means the individual is living life at a new and different level.  It means seeing the truth.  It’s the first step to coming up with a strategy for dealing with the reality that has been imposed.
Not waking up means living in a state of conformity, accepting official statements and orders, following those orders, fitting in, acting normal, adjusting, behaving according to stimulus-response.

Re quarantine, isolation, social distancing, wearing masks:  “We did not know what the Russian [brainwashing] procedures were, but it seemed that they were producing some peculiar changes of attitude. How? One possible factor was perceptual isolation and we concentrated on that.”  (Donald Hebb, Sensory Deprivation: A Symposium Held at Harvard Medical School. John Q Citizen would say: “But I have to believe the quarantines, the isolation, the lockdowns, the distancing, the masks…they’re all happening so we can contain the virus.  If I stop believing that, things would look very different.  And I don’t want thing to look very different.”

Fox News anchor Chris Wallace on Sunday invited 2020 presumptive Democrat nominee Joe Biden to sit down for an interview.

Biden’s camp said the former VP was not available.

Chris Wallace said he will keep asking Biden every week to sit down for an interview.

President Trump last week sat in the hot seat and sparred with Chris Wallace who peppered him with gotcha questions.


Trump never hides from the press.

Biden, however has been hiding in his Delaware basement virtually the entire 2020 election season.
“In our interview last week with President Trump, he questioned whether his opponent Joe Biden could handle a similar encounter. Well, we asked the Biden campaign for an interview and they said the former VP was not available. We’ll keep asking every week,” Chris Wallace said.



Last week Biden refused to answer any questions from reporters during a campaign event in Newcastle, Delaware.

“Thank you for listening. I look forward to having your questions at another time,  but I’m off to another event,” Biden said as he hurried off stage.

Reporters yelled questions at Biden, however, he ignored them and walked away.
Biden did the exact same thing at a campaign event in Delaware a couple weeks ago.

Reporters wanted to ask Biden questions after he concluded his speech.

Gunshot To Head, Parkinson's Disease, Deaths In Palm Beach Incorrectly Attributed To COVID-19

The CBS12 News I-Team in Palm Beach County, Florida, has discovered several examples in Medical Examiner reports of deaths being incorrectly attributed to coronavirus.


The network's investigative team found "eight cases in which a person was counted as a COVID death, but did not have COVID listed as a cause of contributing cause of death."

CBS12 reported that a 60-year-old man who died from a gunshot wound to the head was counted as a coronavirus death. A 90-year-old man who fell and died from complications of a hip fracture and a 77-year old woman who passed away of Parkinson's disease were also both labeled as COVID deaths.

A Palm Beach County resident who has been suspicious of the numbers and has been researching the same issue believes the reporting "is completely misleading."

"We need to remove those cases that are not COVID exclusive, and we need to be giving people that information," the resident said.

Of the 581 coronavirus cases listed on a spreadsheet obtained by CBS12 from the Medical Examiner's office, only 169 deaths are listed as COVID without any contributing factors.
Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis, a Republican, recently informed Fox News that his office has been informed about the incorrectly reported deaths in the county.

"I think the public, when they see the fatality figures, they want to know who died because they caught COVID," DeSantis said. "If you're just in a car accident — and we have had other instances where there is no real relationship, and it's been counted, we want to look at that and see how pervasive that issue is as well."

D.C. Exempts Lawmakers, Government Employees From New Mask Order






Washington, D.C., mayor Muriel Bowser (D.) issued a universal masking order for her city Wednesday but exempted lawmakers, judges, and federal employees.

The order mandates the wearing of masks in all indoor and outdoor settings where social distancing cannot be observed. No other designated profession is exempt from wearing a mask, except when a piece of work equipment would preclude mask use. Consequences for ignoring the order include fines of up to $1,000.

The mayor’s office did not respond to a request for comment.

Masking mandates have prompted contentious public discussion in the United States about the limits of government and the authority of public health officials. While such officials have been unified about the safety of masks, governors and mayors have differed as to how to enact these measures.

Health company apologizes for falsely telling 600,000 US military members they were infected with coronavirus




 



A healthcare insurance company for members of the U.S. military had to apologize for accidentally telling over 600,000 people that they were infected with the virus when they were not.
Tricare apologized for alarming several hundred thousand people because of a poorly worded email that implied the recipient was a coronavirus survivor. The email went out from Humana Military, a regional manager for Tricare.

"As a survivor of COVID-19, it's safe to donate whole blood or blood plasma, and your donation could help other COVID-19 patients. Your plasma likely has antibodies (or proteins) present that might help fight the coronavirus infection," read the email.
"Currently, there is no cure for COVID-19. However, there is information that suggests plasma from COVID-19 survivors, like you, might help some patients recover more quickly from COVID-19," the email continued.
 
Six hours later, Humana sent out a correction and an apology over the confusing and erroneous emails

"Currently, there is no cure for COVID-19. However, there is information that suggests plasma from COVID-19 survivors, like you, might help some patients recover more quickly from COVID-19," the email continued.



Six hours later, Humana sent out a correction and an apology over the confusing and erroneous emails.
"In an attempt to educate beneficiaries who live close to convalescent plasma donation centers about collection opportunities, you received an email incorrectly suggesting you were a COVID-19 survivor," read the email. "You have not been identified as a COVID-19 survivor and we apologize for the error and any confusion it may have caused."

 Military.com documented the mistake and reported messages on social media from those confused about the email.



"Just wondering [if] anybody [got] an email from Tricare saying since you are a COVID survivor, please donate your plasma.?? I have NOT been tested," said one person on Facebook. "Just remember all those people inputting data are human and make mistakes."

 Marvin Hill, a spokesperson for Humana, offered a statement to Military.com explaining the error.



"Language used in email messages to approximately 600k beneficiaries gave the impression that we were attempting to reach only people who had tested positive for COVID-19. We quickly followed the initial email with a clear and accurate second message acknowledging this. We apologize," said Hill.



About 31,000 people affiliated with the U.S. military have been diagnosed with the coronavirus, far fewer than the 600,000 reached by the erroneous email.
Some critics of the pandemic lockdown orders have used mistakes in counting and reporting coronavirus cases to bolster their claims that some elements of the government are using the pandemic to damage the president and the Republicans.

Newly declassified internal Federal Bureau of Investigation documents prove the top U.S. law enforcement agency used a so-called defensive briefing of the Trump campaign in 2016 to spy on and collect information about Donald Trump himself. The new documents, which are just the latest in a string of declassifications regarding the FBI operation to spy on the Trump campaign and later the Trump administration, detail the FBI’s attempts to use a briefing ostensibly meant to warn the Trump campaign about foreign intelligence threats to spy on the Trump campaign itself.

The documents were formally declassified by Director of National Intelligence John Ratcliffe on July 23 then provided to Sens. Charles Grassley (R-Iowa), the chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee, and Sen. Ron Johnson (R-Wisc.), the chairman of the Senate Homeland Security and Government Affairs Committee.
In one of the documents declassified and released on Wednesday, FBI supervisory Special Agent Joe Pientka wrote that he deliberately used the briefing to “actively listen for topics or questions” from Trump “regarding the Russian Federation.” Rather than provide the Trump campaign a specific warning that certain campaign principals were being targeted by Russian intelligence, the FBI instead gave a general, non-specific warning that foreign intelligence services might eventually target the campaign.

Pientka’s written summary of the briefing noted that Trump, Michael Flynn, and former New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie were the only three Trump campaign members in attendance. Christie’s attendance had not previously been disclosed. The August 17, 2016 meeting came the day after the FBI opened a formal counterintelligence investigation against Flynn and just two days after FBI counterintelligence official Peter Strzok texted his former lover, FBI attorney Lisa Page, about an “insurance policy” he had designed to keep Trump from becoming president.

“I want to believe the path you threw out for consideration in Andy [McCabe]’s office—that there’s no way he gets elected—but I’m afraid we can’t take that risk,” Strzok texted Page on August 15, 2016. “It’s like an insurance policy in the unlikely event you die before you’re 40….”

The very next day Strzok opened an investigation of Flynn then used the pretext of a defensive intelligence briefing to collect intelligence on both Flynn and Trump on August 17.

Study Finds That Full Lockdowns Did Not Reduce Coronavirus Mortality Rate

A study published Tuesday in The Lancet medical journal found that full lockdowns, border closures and high rates of coronavirus testing are not associated with a statistically significant reduction in the total number of critical cases or the virus’s overall mortality rate.

However, the study, which was based on data from the 50 countries with the most reported cases as of May 1, noted that lockdowns and border closures are likely associated with better overall health outcomes, as the measures helped drive down the rate of the virus’s transmission and reduce the load on hospital systems.

“In our study, an increasing number of days to border closures was associated with a higher caseload, and more restrictive public health measures (such as a full lockdown compared to partial or curfew only measures) were associated with an increase in the number of recovered cases per million population,” the researchers reported. “These findings suggest that more restrictive public health practices may indeed be associated with less transmission and better outcomes.”

“However, in our analysis, full lockdowns and wide-spread COVID-19 testing were not associated with reductions in the number of critical cases or overall mortality,” the researchers added.
The study found two factors that were significantly associated with increased coronavirus mortality rate: the prevalence of obesity among the population, and a higher per capita gross domestic product.
“Countries with a higher per capita GDP had an increased number of reported critical cases and deaths per million population,” the researchers reported. “This may reflect more widespread testing in those countries, greater transparency with reporting and better national surveillance systems. Other potential putative reasons for the association might include increase [sic] accessibility to air travel and international holidays in wealthier countries.

The study did not address whether mask-wearing mandates have any effect on curbing the spread or reducing the mortality rate of coronavirus.

Much of the United States went under temporary lockdowns in the spring predicated on the goal of “flattening the curve,” or reducing the number of active cases at any given time which in turn reduces the overall strain on hospital systems.

Many states were in the process of lifting coronavirus restrictions as cases began surging again in June. Governors across the country have implemented a number of measures in an attempt to cut down the spread of the virus, including delaying their reopening plans and introducing expanded mask mandates, according to a tracker by The Washington Post.
