Sen. John McCain (R-AZ) promised to help former Libyan dictator Muammar Gaddafi obtain U.S. military hardware as one of the United States' partners in the war on terror, according to a U.S. diplomatic cable released Wednesday by anti-secrecy website WikiLeaks.
The meeting, which took place on Aug. 14, 2009, included other influential Americans, such as Sen. Joe Lieberman (I-CT), Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC), Sen. Susan Collins (R-SC) and Senate Armed Services Committee staffer Richard Fontaine, the document explains.
McCain opened the meeting by characterizing Libya's relationship with the U.S. as "excellent," to which Liebermann added: "We never would have guessed ten years ago that we would be sitting in Tripoli, being welcomed by a son of Muammar al-Qadhafi."
"Lieberman called Libya an important ally in the war on terrorism, noting that common enemies sometimes make better friends," the cable continues. "The Senators recognized Libya's cooperation on counterterrorism and conveyed that it was in the interest of both countries to make the relationship stronger."

In 2007, in an article which appeared in the African Executive Magazine, Norah Owaraga noted that Libya, “unlike other oil producing countries such as Nigeria and Saudi Arabia, utilized the revenue from its oil to develop its country. The standard of living of the people of Libya is one of the highest in Africa, falling in the category of countries with a GNP per capita of between USD 2,200 and 6,000.”
So, why are we in Libya?
Let's see. Iraq = OIL, Afghanistan = OIL PIPELINES, Libya = OIL. So, we're there to liberate the people from ruthless dictators, right? Right? Right?

Gold topped another century mark Monday in its summer price surge, rising above $1,900 an ounce for the first time.
The metal traded as high as $1,917.90 in afternoon electronic futures trading. In the regular futures session the near-term contract closed up $39.80, or 2.1%, to a record $1,888.70.
The price has risen for six straight sessions and seven straight weeks. Gold topped $1,700 for the first time last week. The $1,600 mark was crossed in mid-July.
Why Does the Price of Gold Rise and Fall?
During times of national crisis, such as a war or a serious natural disaster, the price of gold tends to greatly increase. People start to fear that their paper currency may no longer hold value, but they see gold as a stable asset that can always be used to purchase food and other necessities.

These facebook posts are pointing out some clear discrepencies between the structures seen in the media's "celebrations" videos and the actual buildings they are supposed to be.
This fake invasion reminds me so much of the toppling of the Saddam statue in Iraq.
NATO wanted to give full credit to the Libyan rebels for the capture of Tripoli and Kadhafi sons and also wanted no witnesses to the fact that it was an illegal ground invasion by NATO troops and paid mercenaries.
They also wanted to prove to the world that the final take over was not done by NATO troops, the French Foreign Legion and other worldwide Western mercenaries by keeping the real attack a secret and televising the fake attack.
The fake attack? Yes, the scenes shown on American and international TV and You Tube of rebels advancing on Tripoli was all a Hollywood-style 'attack' filmed in a fake city of 'Tripoli' with the actor rebels shooting off their guns.
In the meantime, cars with megaphones drove around the city of Tripoli with speakers blasting sounds of gunfire and explosives as the make-believe rebels advanced on the fake city.
While the fake scenes were being televised and the city inhabitants were being kept indoors, NATO troops and mercenaries parachuted onto the government buildings and took over the current military and government. Credit went to the rebels who were never there during the actual assault.
Later, the interim government formed by NATO, which was waiting in the wings, showed their face and took over the final moments of their 'victory'.
