Indefinite Guantanamo detention plans condemned

~

The American Civil Liberties Union has criticised a recommendation that 47 Guantanamo Bay inmates should be held indefinitely without trial.

Justice department officials said the men were too dangerous to release, but could not be tried as evidence against them would not stand up in a US court.

Mmmm, let’s see. What kind of evidence would not stand up in court? Could it be they confessed under torture? What do experts say, that people will say anything under torture?

Or could it be that they got the information using such secret methods that the US doesn’t want our allies to know because then they’ll know the US spies on our friends and enemies?
