The war that never was: Most elaborate Wikipedia hoax ever as article on 'Bicholim Conflict' - a fictitious 'Dutch-Indian war' - fooled site for FIVE YEARS
An article detailing an entirely made up Indian war was left unopposed on Wikipedia for more than five years, it has emerged.
An unknown hoaxer penned the elaborate piece on the 'Bicholim Conflict' which was 4,500 words long and had an array of made-up sources.
