Argentina unions stage massive anti-government protest. (VIDEO)

After almost a decade of unchallenged relations between ruling Front for Victory and the labor movement, Argentina´s top trade unions have closed ranks behind long-standing demands -such as the increase of the income tax floor- taking thousands of workers to the streets against president Cristina Fernandez for the third time in the second semester of 2012.

Blocking the main intersections of the 9 de Julio Avenue in capital city Buenos Aires, the General Confederation of Labor (CGT) and Argentina´s Central of Workers (CTA), backed by leftist social and political organizations, the farming sector and the opposition Radical Party , marched to the Plaza de Mayo square right in front of the Casa Rosada presidential palace.
