What did this woman do to deserve such rough treatment? Do we know?
I noticed a baby carriage. What happened to the baby?
Who made the video, and did he/she turn it over to the media and authorities?
Two statements: This is precisely why the police in this country do not like camcorders, or cameras. And in this case, they were nailed...as they should be.
The police in this country are almost out of control, and exerting unwarranted power over us.
I had the same qusetions when I first saw this and was surprised these cops didn't taser her or at least call for backup to help them, as she wasn't being easy. Again, what brought all this about?
However, I did feel that the video will force that particular department to investigate. Without the video, no one would ever know what transpired.
Hopefully it will make other cops think twice before they behave like a "fascist pigs".
So now they want to make it a crime if you videotape cops doing their dirty deeds.
I read an article somewhere the other day regarding the increase of arrests for videoing police on the job...and they keep getting dismissed. It's definitely harassment because this issue has been around long enough now that every cop in the country has to know that it is NOT illegal as long as one is not interfering with the performance of their duties.
We need to keep at it to keep the fuckers from misuse of power...which also seems to be on the increase.
