Over 130 000 elderly patients who die in British hospitals are killed off deliberately by withholding fluids and nutrition. Moreover, this so-called 'Liverpool Care Pathway' is also used on severely disabled babies and children with terminal illnesses, causing their deaths in an excruciatingly agonizing way.

Often, the seniors are put on the LCP over the weekend, when the hospital is short-staffed, and many would otherwise not have died for a good while longer.

Such was the case of one man who was admitted for pneumonia and seizures and put on the LCP without the consent of his own doctor.

When he was removed from the LCP, he recovered and went on to live another 14 months, although the damage he had sustained from it caused him to require round-the-clock care and a wheelchair until he died.
